Gawler Community Retirement Homes Inc - Sold Properties - Downsizing
Gawler Community Retirement Homes (previously known as Gawler & District Aged Cottage Homes) is a not for profit organisation supporting the Gawler community.
Run by a locally based Board, we were first established in 1969, with our first 11 units built in 1970. Since then we have grown to a total of six villages and a total of 145 residences. They vary from one bedroom up to three bedrooms.
Five of the villages are situated close to the Gawler main precinct; while James Martin Village is located in Willaston on the edge of town in a country like setting.
We have two types of Licence Agreements; Subsidised Entry or Resident Funded.
All residences are covered by a Services Fee, which varies depending on the village and site of the residence. The fee covers the following:
- All administration expenses.
- All maintenance expenses.
- Council Rates.
- All Water rates.
- Emergency Services Levy.
- Building Insurance, which includes Public Liabilty Insurance of the common areas.
- Maintenance of village grounds & gardens.
- 24/7 Emergency Maintenance Service.
