Levande’s bold new retirement community, The Cambridge in Epping, is one step closer to welcoming its first residents this Spring, after celebrating a major construction milestone.
This month, the 28-storey development marked its ‘topping-out’ with a traditional Scandinavian tree ceremony, where a tree was lifted to the rooftop by crane to symbolise growth and prosperity — a nod to Levande’s Scandinavian roots.
Levande CEO, Kevin McCoy, said The Cambridge represents a new era in retirement living.
“We’re creating a vibrant, intergenerational precinct, with a rebuilt primary school, nearby retail outlets, and a thriving community environment — all in the heart of Epping,” Mr McCoy said.
When completed, The Cambridge will offer 158 architect-designed independent living apartments, packed with luxury amenities. Residents will enjoy a fitness centre, heated indoor pool, resident-only clubhouse and bar, rooftop entertainment spaces, a library, a Gold Class-style cinema, hair salon, vegetable garden, and even a workshed.
Importantly, six lower floors are being set aside for a future aged care facility to be operated by leading provider Opal HealthCare, enabling a seamless transition for residents who may need additional support over time.
The first buyers at The Cambridge, Paul & Ellen Freer, say they can’t wait to move in. “No more gardens, no more steps, no more ramps… we’re just really excited,” says Paul.
“Don’t forget the views!” chimes in Ellen.
The Freers feel they already share a strong familial connection with their new home. Their four sons attended Our Lady Help of Christians primary school, which is adjacent to The Cambridge and has been completely rebuilt by Levande as part of the project.
Located just metres from Epping’s retail hub and Metro and train station, The Cambridge is proof that retirement living today is about staying connected, vibrant and secure — all without leaving the area you love.
Boasting incredible panoramic views from the city skyline to Blue Mountains, The Cambridge combines modern luxury with effortless living, offering a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, plus penthouse suites, to suit all needs and budgets.
On Saturday, May 17th, and Wednesday, May 28th, prospective residents are invited to get an exclusive first look at five brand-new display apartments at a special sneak peek preview as The Cambridge takes shape. Afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided. To RSVP, learn more, or register your interest in The Cambridge, visit levande.com.au/thecambridge or call Jill at 9072 4939.
