Within the spacious, landscaped grounds of Anglicare Castle Hill there are four low-care and one high-care assisted living communities. Brian King Gardens, Donington Court, Farrer Brown Court, Warrina and The Donald Coburn Centre are all designed to encompass Anglicare's philosophy of living a rich, full life with facilities and services that encourage independence, social interaction and fun, all with the security of ready assistance if needed.

Upon entering one of our assisted living communities, a personal care plan will be created for you that may include showering, dressing, nursing care and any supervision of medication to suit your individual needs.

Qualified staff is available 24 hours while our onsite specialist teams include physiotherapists, podiatrists and other health practitioners. Our onsite pain clinic supports these services, and regular visits from doctors and other health professionals are available as required. All meals are created in our purpose-built kitchens, with particular dietary requirements readily available.

While each assisted living village has its program of activities for residents including games, crafts, concerts, movie afternoons and bus trips, all residents are welcome to use the full range of facilities available at Anglicare Castle Hill.

Our assisted living villages also offer safe, supportive environments for those with dementia, with dementia-specific carers on hand, and access to secure recreation areas.

Brian King Gardens

Opened in early 2009, state-of-the-art Brian King Gardens is Anglicare's Castle Hill’s newest residential care community..

Home to 238 residents, this innovative facility has been designed to complement Anglicare's philosophy of providing person-centred care where each resident's physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs are paramount.

Accommodation is grouped into fourteen wings of seventeen resident rooms to achieve this. Residents of each wing live as a household group and enjoy their dedicated care team with its own nurse’s station. Each wing has its own identity and a variety of living spaces and common areas are provided including a resident’s kitchen, lounge room, family room and balcony area. Each spacious resident room offers air conditioning, a private en suite, robe and storage or display shelving.

Brian King Gardens has a lovely community spirit with themed recreation rooms for music, sports, stitch-and-sew and computing. There’s always something going on with movies, concerts and other activities. The building also features a chapel for quiet reflection.

Brian King Gardens also has provisions for high-level care including palliative care and dementia-specific care with dementia-specific wings designed with secure therapeutic terraces.

Brian King Gardens is named after the late Bishop Brian King, the much-loved pastor and teacher in the local diocese for many years.

Donington Court

At Donington Court, residents enjoy living within a purpose-designed, secure and caring environment. Each of the 156 bright and spacious private rooms has a balcony with a beautiful outlook across the grounds. All rooms are equipped with emergency buttons and each has a private en suite fitted with hand rails for safety.

The atmosphere at Donington Court is friendly and supportive. A double-storey atrium adjacent to the dining room is the hub for many of our social activities. Here you’ll be invited to meet with other residents to participate in recreational games and activities – or to simply relax.

With easy access to the village’s magnificent gardens and barbeque facilities, there are plenty of outdoor options when it comes to entertaining friends and family.

Should the need arise, Donington Court has its secure dementia-specific wing. To the greatest extent possible, residents from this wing are included in arranged activities and dine in the communal dining room.

Farrer Brown Court

Farrer Brown Court offers 137 bright and comfortable private rooms in a friendly and supportive living environment. Some of the rooms can accommodate couples, and all have balconies to enjoy the district views. All rooms are also equipped with emergency call buttons.

Farrer Brown’s central courtyard provides a delightful place to spend time with friends and family. You can grab a cup of tea or coffee at the cafe, or light meal at the kiosk. The building also features a library and hairdresser.

Should the need arise, Anglicare offers dementia-specific care within a secure ward in the Farrer Brown building.

Warrina

Warrina is one of the more intimate residential communities at Anglicare Castle Hill, accommodating just under 100 residents. Centrally located, Warrina’s assisted living community has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere which is set to brighten with the upcoming plans for transformation and renovation. Most rooms feature a private en suite bathroom fitted with safety hand rails around the toilet and shower, and each room has an emergency call button.

Warrina is renowned for its active resident group and stimulating social environment. Within our large central communal area, you’ll find plenty of people to meet and chat with and you’ll be invited to participate in a variety of daily activities as well as regular excursions.

The home's award-winning ‘Resi-action’ residents’ volunteer program has been so successful it has been implemented in all Anglicare villages, as well as other aged care facilities across Australia.

The Donald Coburn Centre

The Donald Coburn Centre is a 180-bed high-care community. The Centre offers an extensive level of care with qualified carers and Registered Nurses on duty 24 hours a day. Designed to encourage independence as much as possible, there is a range of enjoyable supervised programs offered to residents including exercise, games, music, discussions and Christian fellowship activities. Chaplains and pastoral care workers are also on-site for spiritual guidance and support.

An individual care plan is tailored to the needs of each resident with assistance available for showering, dressing, medication and nursing care. All meals are catered for and freshly prepared, and specific dietary requirements are looked after.
