The Heritage of Hunters Hill
People who join our communities tell us they want to live active and full lives every step of the way. That’s why we take care of everyday things, like home maintenance and security, so that you can focus on the big things: like time with loved ones, planning your next trip, or picking up that instrument you’ve been wanting to learn. Our community is designed with healthy living in mind – with easy access to nearby amenities including shops, transport and just 8kms from the Sydney CBD.
Community living, on your terms.
Life’s never dull at The Heritage of Hunters Hill. Make the most of our peaceful landscaped gardens by heading out on a walk. Or sign up to join one of our movie nights, community BBQs or community day trips. Learning happens here. Making a difference happens here. Plans are made and bucket list items are ticked off. But we know that everyone’s definition of a good life in retirement is different. You choose how much or how little you’d like to get involved in community life. When you become part of our community, you live life on your terms.
Care if you need it.
In our community, enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that support and care is at hand, whether you need it now or in the future. If your needs change, we can support you with a range of flexible options* via Australian Unity’s Home Care Services to continue doing the things you enjoy. You can also get tailored wellbeing advice and help with navigating services – all from one of Australia’s oldest and most trusted wellbeing companies.
Stay connected.
Moving to a new community shouldn’t mean saying goodbye to the people or experiences you love. Located in the prestigious, leafy peninsula of Hunters Hill it’s an easy walk to shops, and health services and a wide range of restaurants and cafes in our backyard. We have a local bus that stops at our door, so getting out and about is easy. Your family is welcome here – including the furry kind. Pets are an important part of our wellbeing, so we invite you to bring small pets with you. Out of consideration for all residents, each pet must be approved before they move in. Activities are held regularly with enough variety to keep things interesting. You might play cards one day, sing in a choir the next, paint a portrait after that or take on a university course. But if you prefer to keep to yourself or take in a new book in the library, there’s no pressure to be involved. Some residents join in occasionally when something takes their fancy, others jump in with both feet. Whilst there’s plenty to keep you busy at The Heritage of Hunters Hill, many of our residents also work, volunteer or contribute in other ways in the wider community.
A social hub.
We have a welcoming community here at The Heritage of Hunters Hill. Comprising of a series of low-level interconnected apartment buildings, together with the historic Mary MacKillop House, The Heritage is designed to offer retirement living at its best with all the benefits of living in Hunters Hill. Mary MacKillop House features elegant reception and dining rooms which are available for residents’ private functions and are perfect for entertaining large groups of family and friends. We make it as easy as it can be for our residents to stay connected with the local community with our twice weekly bus trips to Gladesville and Lane Cove shops and Ryde Aquatic Centre, as well as visits to other attractions and amenities. We host regular social activities with morning and afternoon teas in the Heritage Lounge, BBQs in the courtyard and Friday night drinks to catch up with friends.
Australian Unity Retirement Community homes at The Heritage of Hunter's Hill are sold under a loan lease arrangement. You will have to pay a departure fee when you leave this village. For more information please email us at: [email protected] or call us on: 1300 160 170
