Ingenia Communities and NthStar Constructions are partnering to deliver a brand new $4 million-dollar state-of-the-art community facility at Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay.
Ingenia Communities see great potential for investment in the Hervey Bay and Fraser Coast region – a popular hotspot for over 50’s looking to make the most out of the coastal lifestyle.
The community facility – to be named ‘The Hangar’ – will include a caravan washdown and community workshop, along with a microbrewery, dog wash area, boat storage, BBQ Smoker and Terrace.
Ingenia Communities Development Manager John Bolton said the facilities are being developed in direct response to resident feedback.
“Ingenia Communities has been working closely with the residents to identify opportunities to further improve their lifestyle experience at Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay,” Mr Bolton said.
“We’ve designed this community to provide an over 50’s luxury resort-style offering for our current 403 residents, with the Hangar complementing their Hervey Bay lifestyle.
We believe great amenities aren’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ – they’re an essential part of thriving and connected communities and we’ve seen how they successfully create places where people want to live.
“The community already features a luxurious resident clubhouse – The Eagle Nest – though we really wanted to expand the amenities on offer at Hervey Bay, and we’re very excited to announce the beginning of work on this development.
Fraser Coast Regional Council Mayor George Seymour said he is impressed by what the new community facility at Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay will offer.
“These facilities set a new benchmark for the type of amenities we can expect from retirement living,” Cr Seymour said.
“Our region has undergone a significant change in population – it is predicted to grow faster than the state average.
“This growth has been driven in large part by over 50’s living, with people wanting to downsize and move here for a sea change.
“The new facilities and amenities proposed for the Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay community are a wonderful way to attract this group of residents to the region,” he said.
Ingenia Lifestyle resident and President of the Homeowners Committee Graham Henry said the residents can’t wait to use the facilities upon their completion.
“Whenever new developments kick off at the community, Ingenia will always consult with us residents to collate our feedback and put the most popular ideas forward to the project team. We really appreciate that,” Mr Henry said.
“This current development has been in the making for quite a while and the whole community is excited for it to finally kick off!
“There is truly something for everyone to enjoy with these facilities – we’re very keen for the caravan and car wash bay with the underbody wash, in particular.
“To me, that’s just a superb idea because here in the bay, salt is not exactly friendly to anything, so being able to run your car through once a month and do an underbody wash would be absolutely fantastic.
“The brewery also came as a pleasant surprise to many of us – there are quite a few people who do their own home brews so having a micro-brewery included in these facilities is really exciting,” he said.
