Construction is now complete on the third stage of Aveo’s Parkside Carindale, a master planned vertical retirement community located 14km east of Brisbane’s CBD.
The $68 million ‘Vista’ building is the latest stage in a major redevelopment that is transforming the original 38-year-old village of 107 low-set villas into a vibrant, modern multi-storey community.
The master plan consolidates the prime 3ha site, providing premium apartments, social spaces and extensive green spaces to meet demand from the area’s high proportion of retirees wanting to live independently in age-appropriate residences in the sought-after suburb.
The 10-storey Vista follows the construction of the sold-out ‘Parkland’ and ‘Sanctuary’ buildings in 2019 that provided 97 apartments and the community’s lifestyle-driven amenities, including a resort-style outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, café, bar, function rooms, cinema, billiards room, hair salon and library.
More than 50 per cent of Vista’s 100 one, two and three-bedroom apartments have already sold with several buyers coming off a wait list.
When the six-stage $280 million community is complete, Parkside Carindale will provide 405 apartments and a co-located, privately owned 140-bed residential care facility.
A large part of the community’s appeal is its location with retail, dining and entertainment option from one of Brisbane’s major shopping centres, Westfield Carindale, on one side, and the picturesque Bulimba Creek parklands with extensive bike and walking trails, on the other.
Parkside Carindale Sales Manager, Susan Milward, said the first residents have begun moving into their Vista apartments.
“There has been strong demand for these new apartments with a waitlist for buyers who missed out on the earlier stages,’’ Ms Milward said.
“Parkside is well connected to the nearby M1 Motorway and a private exit from the village takes residents safely to the busway opposite with connections across Brisbane. With everything at their fingertips our residents hardly ever need to use their cars.’’
Vista’s architecturally-designed apartments provide premium finishes and inclusions throughout the kitchen and bathrooms, open-plan living, generous storage, secure undercover parking and private balconies or terraces.
Various display apartments are open for inspection and apartments are selling with a price range of $330,000 to $1, 200,000. Parkside Carindale is located at 19 Banchory Court, Carindale.
