Future residents of Archer’s Run, Ingenia Lifestyle’s new over 55s community in Morisset, gathered recently for an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the residential development, which has already seen its first release sold out to the VIP Club members, and only five homes remaining in the second release.
Participants in the “hard hat tour” took up the opportunity, alongside some of their future neighbours, to see their individual home sites, while also sharing the first time experience of driving through the entrance with views towards Serenity Lake and future community clubhouse locations.
John and Barbara Donnelly will make the move to Archer’s Run next year, relocating from nearby Woongarrah – 20 minutes south of Morisset – saying they’re looking forward to the change of scenery.
“We were interested in moving to an over 55s community because some of our friends are now living in them and love their new lifestyle,” Mr Donnelly said.
“I’m looking forward to the easy maintenance of the home. There’s also space for us to park our motorhome which is an added bonus.”
“When the opportunity came up to deposit at Archer’s Run, we jumped. What I like about the community is the topography of the land. It’s interesting and really different than what I’ve seen before.”
Archer’s Run is surrounded by conservation land, with an almost 360 degree outlook to bushland vegetation.
Susan and Ian Stewart will also be part of the community’s first residents next year, moving interstate from Victoria and said they were glad to take part in the hard hat tour.
“We can tell the community is going to be quite beautiful once its complete! Especially with the gorgeous lakes and location,” Ms Stewart said.
“My husband and I are downsizing from a large family home. We’ve always lived with a good bit of space around us but what I like about the new home is that it’s sitting on a corner block, so we’ll still have a nice amount of space.
“We also wanted to live closer to our family, so we decided to look at some other living options and ended up looking at over 55s communities.
“We realised very quickly that we didn’t care for the deferred management scheme that most of these communities offered which is why we liked Ingenia. My husband and I were both quite impressed with the prices in the community, they are affordable, especially with everything that will be included once the community is complete.
“I’m really looking forward to moving and watching the place grow. The social aspect of an over 55s community is very appealing to me.”
Ingenia Communities’ Head of Development – NSW and Victoria Michael Rabey said he wasn’t surprised the first release of homes had already sold out.
“Morisset is a beautiful location and we’ve always believed in the area’s appeal and potential. We’ve not been alone in recognising this appeal and potential either, with many exciting developments taking place in the area including the Cedar Mill Entertainment Precinct.
“Already, we’ve attracted customers from local suburbs, the Central Coast and interstate, with all noting how appealing the location of Archer’s Run is.”
“The region will soon see a population boom, doubling to 50,000 over the next decade and Ingenia is well positioned to offer suitable, age in place appropriate housing solutions to the over 55s demographic.
“Our third release of homes is about to be launched to our VIP Club and subsequently available to the public in late June, offering a stylish range of two- and three-bedroom homes to those interested in moving to the community.”
“I can’t wait to see the first residents start to settle in next year and see the Archer’s Run community come together.”
Upon completion the community will also boast a range of resident facilities and amenities for residents to make the most of.
“We’re finalising plans for the first of three clubhouses – our Vitalia Clubhouse will have a real focus on health and wellness and is set to feature an onsite gym, pool, treatment rooms, steam room and spa.
“We’ve already heard great feedback from our future residents who are looking forward to using these facilities, and we hope to share our plans for the Vitalia Clubhouse with the general public soon.”
