Research shows 80% of older Australians would prefer to stay at home as long as possible or until end-of-life. However, for many reasons this is not always possible or an option for many people.

Residential aged care, often referred to as nursing homes, are the alternative families, individuals or their partners may consider as a choice, or may require, as a necessity.

Catalyst Research is asking Australians and COTA Australia’s supporters to think about aged care and what you think is important in residential care with a short 10-minute survey HERE

Most questions are optional and include:
• Rating the care and support in residential aged care
• What would encourage / discourage you from considering residential aged care?
• An opportunity to comment on the Government’s aged care reforms

The survey allows you to respond as an opinion or from first-hand experience, positive or negative, present or past.

COTA Australia understand how important it is to give voice to important issues and how your feedback, stories and lived experiences can help form the basis for COTA submissions and important policy reform. The aggregated findings of this survey will be used by aged care providers to improve their services and offerings for older people. AS the results are aggregated your feedback remains confidential, and your name will not be shared with providers or others.
