Aveo was named Customer Service Organisation (Large) of the Year at the prestigious 2024 Australian Service Excellence Awards.
The major award presented by the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) in Melbourne last week recognised the retirement living provider’s commitment to service excellence.
It was Aveo’s first time nominating for the Australian Service Excellence Awards that attract hundreds of nominations each year recognising the nation’s best practice and innovation in customer service. Previous winners have included Woolworths, HCF and Optus.
Aveo’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Randello, congratulated Aveo staff who he said contributed to best practice performance and innovation in customer service.
“The Customer Service Organisation of the Year Award is a reflection on all 1,800 representatives of the Aveo team, the carers to community managers; chefs to housekeepers; gardeners to receptionists; our contact centre to the executive team,’’ Mr Randello said.
“It is a privilege and honour to be of service to a generation who contributed so much. Our mission is to create vibrant, supportive communities where every resident feels valued, respected and truly at home.
“I am very proud of the Aveo team, and the commitment to customer service excellence that I see across our communities and offices every day.
“This prestigious award highlights our reputation for outstanding service.’’
Aveo were finalists in two other categories:
- Customer Service Project of the Year for the recruitment team’s Employee Value Proposition campaign, and
- Chief Operating Officer Natalie Patterson for Customer Service Executive of the Year.
Aveo was the only retirement living operator named as a finalist or a winner in the awards.
