Construction work is now underway on the third stage of south-eastern Brisbane’s largest retirement community.
Aveo has held a sod turning ceremony to celebrate the commencement of $68 million worth of construction work at Aveo Carindale.
The project’s third stage will deliver 100 independent living apartments, including one, two and three bedroom units, across nine residential levels of a 10-storey building.
Some apartments will provide uninterrupted views across Quota Park.
Aveo Carindale sits on almost three hectares of land around 16 kms south of Brisbane’s CBD.
Once the six-stage $220+ million development is complete, the community will deliver 431 independent living apartments and residential aged care facilities.
Tony Randello, Chief Executive Officer said: “Aveo Carindale is currently home to 154 residents, and provides a great sense of community and belonging”.
“As well as providing an abundant social calendar, wellbeing services will also remain a focus for us within this community.
“We want to ensure that residents can access support and care services as and when needed.
“Aveo Carindale offers the services of a visiting GP, allied health care professionals, home care services and will have the convenience of a co-located aged care facility should residents need higher care".
Aveo Carindale has a restaurant, bar, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool, movie theatre, library, games room, activity room and a hair and beauty salon.
Aveo is currently accepting registrations of interest for stage three apartments, although has not released pricing at this time.
Completion of stage three is anticipated by July 2023, with the final stage due to be completed by 2029.
